Be reminded that entry submissions for the 15th Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting close in 3 days time. As you are aware, the application portal opened on Sunday 4 October and will close by 4pm on Saturday, 24 October, 2020.

The 15th edition of the annual award will reward works that explore the intersection between Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and COVID19. About The Award

The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) rewards, promotes and encourages best practices in journalism works from the print, radio, television, photo, online, editorial cartoon broad categories as well as from other special categories which focus on themes ranging from regulatory failures, corruption in the public and corporate spheres, and human rights abuses in the country.

All professional Nigerian journalists above the age of 18 years old, or a team of journalists, whether full-time or part-time are eligible to apply for Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting (WSAIR)However, reporters who have won the award on three occasions are ineligible to apply.

Entries will only be accepted for all categories of the award through an online application portal this year. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted.

The award accepts entries from six categories— print, television, radio, photo, editorial cartoon and online.
